GIFTED SUMMER READING PROGRAM


Incoming 6th Graders

Incoming sixth graders to the Omni Middle Gifted Program are required to read two novels during the summer.

Keep a list of the books read:      

Title
Author
Copyright Date
Publisher
City where published

Write a short summary of the plot for each book-no more than one page.

Do NOT read any books that are starred on the list of approved books.

Books may also be chosen from the school media suggested reading list-see school web.

A teacher must approve any book NOT on either list unless the author is listed.

This assignment is designed to encourage students to ENJOY a book this summer…
